Get off your butt!
I really dig this girl’s work. Especially, when some of her ideas are mixed with my ideas. This was our Valentines Day Collaboration.
You can see more of her stuff here.
Cuckoo Clock Collaboration with Book Williams Jr.

I’ve been struggling with a way to translate my work to t-shirt graphics. For this type of printing I need a transparent background, but thinking of all the hours I would waste drawing photoshop paths around huge chunks of the composition make my stomach turn. I decided to use a trick, stolen directly from video artists, to solve the problem of creating a transparent background; a green screen.
I find myself listening to all kinds of stuff when I work. Mostly, it’s music, but sometime I stumble over something helpful.
009 YOU GOTTA WATCH YOUR ASS
This episode we delve into contracts. Sounds boring right? If you answered “YES” you obviously don’t take this very seriously, so go elsewhere if you’re looking to be inspired. We breakdown the essentials on how to make a clear contract that makes your life (and your clients) much easier. Stay crucial!
For those of you who missed the show,
…you missed one heck of a show. I’ll be posting more pictures and video when I get my hands on them. For now, you’ll just have to get by with this clip.
Scroll down to here more music from Caught In Your Pockets. I might be doing a poster for them, so keep your eyes peeled.

Danger Boy Poster Illustration
Dig. More process Highlights from yours truly. These two posters are probably the most complicated compositions I’ve done (by that, I mean, the most amount of pieces.) My fingers hurt just looking at them.
The band asks every artist to do some version of a robot fighting an octopus. I decided to base the illustration on the vintage, Japanese, giant robo stuff from the 60’s. Thanx to Beach for letting me take a crack at this. I love robots. You can see the final versions here and here.
This is a poster for the band “Danger boy”.
I like watching videos that diagram how complicated stuff gets built.
This is a small robot manufactured with an ingeniously intricate pop up scaffold. I guess tiny pop up robots are in our future. You’re all doomed.
If your looking to pre-game next thursday, this is the event.
The Fifth Annual Skateboard Inspired Art show

Daily Draw: Wednesday
Weekly Theme: Dreams
Originally, the theme for the week was “Dreams I wish I had”. It sounded stupid, so I scrapped it for this.
Daily Draw: Tuesday.
Weekly Theme: Dreams I wish I had.
I’ve decided on a weekly theme for my daily drawings. This week is: Dreams I wish I had. I know that wishing about dreams may seem redundant, but my dreams are pretty mundane (Example: I can’t find my keys. Doing laundry in a supermarket, trying to tie my shoes with gloves on, etc). I figured this would be a good way to practice dreaming while I’m awake.
…or I can take more naps.
For your Ears.
The Second of the State Champs EP trilogy, Full Hearts, was released a couple of weeks ago. With a cover Illustrated by Melissa Eymann, who happens to be one of my favorite Illustrators. I decided to compile all of my process photos into one blog post for the occasion.
